Title: SimbleeCOM ESN
Post by: Raddas117 on June 27, 2016, 01:20:47 AM
Hi, I am working on a project that has a number of simblees working in the same physical space, I want to pair the simblees in some way so that when a control simblee broadcasts data, only 1 simblee can use that data (instead of controlling all the other receivers in the area that would be doing other, but similar things with their controllers), I was hoping it would work with the ESN of each simblee, does anyone have any ideas about how I might do this?

Check out the example sketches under SimbleeCOM. SimbleeCOM.getESN() will get you the unique serial number of a unit. That number is automatically sent with with SimbleeCOM.send. It will appear to all the other SImbleeCOM devices in the SimbleeCOM_onReceicve call back. You can test for a specific ESN to pay attention to and ignore the rest. As far as I can tell, there is no 'pairing' in SimbleeCOM. From the API provided, I think it looks like a broadcast to all protocol. It is what the receiver pays attention to that narrows the field. Anyone else got any insights.
