ADXL 377 with RFduino
« on: November 30, 2015, 11:43:01 AM »
Hi,
We are working on connecting a ADXL 377 to our RFduino and are having trouble with code. We keep getting this error:

Arduino: 1.5.8 (Mac OS X), Board: "RFduino"Cannot run program "{runtime.tools.arm-none-eabi-gcc.path}/bin/arm-none-eabi-g++": error=2, No such file or directory  This report would have more information with  "Show verbose output during compilation"  enabled in File > Preferences.

We followed the steps to install RFduino but are still struggling. If anyone could help with suggestions or useful links that would be great!

Thanks!!

Need more input! Can't tell if you have RFduino already working with 1.5.8 and just problem with ADXL, or you don't have RFduino working at all.

Sounds like a getting started issue of getting RFduino installed on Arduino IDE. Is there a reason you are using Arduino 1.5.8. The latest Arduino that works well with RFduino is 1.6.5. There is a new method of installing 3rd party board libraries as well...

Thanks for your response!
We have RFduino working already with 1.5.8. We have it assigned to the RFduino board and the correct port according to the documentation.
Does anyone have experience writing the code for calibrating the accelerometer. We are all brand new to ardunio and using accelerometers so any guidance would be great!

Thanks!

The next question would be is how do you have the ADXL377 connected to the RFduino?

What is your code for connecting to the ADXL377. There is no RFduino specific library for or needed by the RFduino. You do have to connect the three analog out line from the ADXL377 to the RFduino and assign those pins for AtoD conversion. The best help is given when you can supply the code for the community to evaluate and give advice on. Usually calibration is as easy as using gravity to provide 1G in each of the 6 directions.
