Simblee - Stop Mobile App from going to sleep.
« on: May 08, 2016, 01:14:01 PM »
Getting started slowly with Simblee.
Is there a way to keep the Simblee for mobile App awake? I am trying to output a sensor value continuously to the app screen. O dont need the power saving features so want the app to stay alive.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Liam,

I know what you mean. Not just Simblee. Anything. Frustrating. I set Settings->Auto-Lock to NEVER on iPOD to keep it (the iPOD) from sleeping on me. I think that is all I did. Now it practically lives on the charger while experimenting or I have to make sure I click the off/on button to stand-by it.

Hi Tom
Yeah that does suck.
I know its possible as some apps on my phone keep it awake. Hopefully this is something we can do.
Its probably "hidden" in one of the library files for us to find by accident again.

It IS afrustrating thing but probably designed for in OS.
No inactive App is allowed to stay on probably to secure battery up time.
On my Android phone I can enter Developing mode (google that) and make apps stay on during charging only if enabled.
So for me that can make my Simblee App stay alive if I plug USB or Battery pack (or similar) charging.
