Creating custom BLE services on RFduino
« on: June 24, 2015, 12:30:54 PM »
Hello,
I am trying to implement a Human Interface Device (HID) using RFduino. My application requires implementation of certain Bluetooth profiles such as Device ID profile, Service Discovery Protocol (SDP), and the HID service etc. Do I need low level access using Nordiac SDK and Segger to accomplish this? I tried to use the customUUID option provided by RFduinoBLE to advertise the HID service but not sure how to enable the SDP using Arduino IDE. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, i'm still quite a newbie to Bluetooth and the RFDuino, but as far as i know SDP is a "regular" Bluetooth service
which can not be supported on BLE Smart(4.0)-only devices.
