Coming Early January
« on: December 20, 2013, 10:19:13 PM »
Hi Everyone!

We heard your requests and how you were asking for information about low level control, so we are starting this forum and topic to help you use the low level features and functions of the RFduino DIP and RFduino SMT module.

These are a few of the key points we will start with:

- You are not restricted or limited in any way and we will show you how to access all the sections and resources of the part using the SDK to do what you are asking about.

- We will point you in the right direction to get you started with building your own custom BLE services or use standard ones.

............

Well it's December 20th and it's been a very big and long year for us and we will be taking a much needed rest and starting back up strong the first of the year!

We have some really exciting things in store for you and your RFduinos.

Have a happy holiday and all the best to you.

Sincerely,
Armen

It would be great to expand on this level indeed. Even in the press release by Nordic, http://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/News/ULP-Wireless-Update/Finger-tip-sized-wireless-module-boasts-Arduino-compatibility, it tells that the API of the nRF51822 SoC is available.

You guys did do a great job in providing the interface between their API and Arduino code.

I do understand if you want to keep that code for yourself, please just tell us that. Be clear about what parts of your software solutions are closed source.

Is there a timeframe of when we can expect these features?

Also, is there a list of features that we can look forward to having soon?

Thanks for any updates!

Another question: how are we supposed to add these features? Will a new bootloader be released?

We are in March and I am curious if there is still a plan on enhanced BTLE support?

Ugh. I'm getting really tired of this. Custom BLE support is now well over two months overdue, and we don't even get any status updates. Communication is definitely not the RFduino team's strong suit...

did this:

- We will point you in the right direction to get you started with building your own custom BLE services or use standard ones.

ever get updated? If so, is there a pointer to how to create custom Services and Characteristics?

Thanks.
