Simple iOS Device Authentication via Bluetooth?
« on: January 07, 2017, 07:55:00 AM »
Is it possible to create a list of approved Bluetooth addresses or MAC addresses and store them in the RFduino? The RFduino would need to reject all other devices that attempt to pair to it, or not execute any code until a device with an address from the list is connected. I would like to use this as a simple and automatic security system for my next project. If it matters, I will be using an iOS device as the recognized device. The goal is to avoid having to create a custom app to run on the iOS device. Thanks!

Sounds interesting. Why don't you sketch it up and give it a try. Let us know your results.
