Nfc and Bluetooth
« on: June 15, 2016, 06:09:10 AM »
Hello guys,
I really want to build this limitter for my freestyle Libre (https://github.com/JoernL/LimiTTer/blob/master/LimiTTer.pdf). I thought I could build it smaller with the rfduino.
Since I'm not really educated in this topic I thought you guys could help me. Is it possible??  How do I need to modify the code and wiring??
Thank you.   :D

I think you can. Even better using Simblee instead of RFduino. You might even be able to use Simblee For Mobile  or Simblee For Cloud if you want to create a custom iOS/Android App, albeit with limited graphics, that doesn't depend on Android or iOS development. Simblee for Mobile can't be as cool as xDrip+, but you could port LimiTTer to run on Simblee and work with xDrip+ with normal RFuino/Simblee libraries. You will probably just need to get xDrip to recognize the UUIDs that RFuino/Simblee uses. I've done prototypes of a hardware adaptor for NFC to BLE using Simblee here...

I built a device similar to the LimiTTer and a corresponding iOS application which the data of the Freestyle Libre sensor is transferred to, see LibreMonitor (https://github.com/UPetersen/LibreMonitor). I think my hardware setup cannot compete with that of tolson, but maybe the software part can be of help.
